Eco-polymer’s rugged ceramic filled repair / wear compounds are engineered for severe environments. They offer superior abrasion resistance and tolerate less than optimal conditions and cure in very low temperatures.
Eco-Polymers are 100% solids Novolac technologies designed for maximum heat and chemical resistance. Providing excellent coatings for pumps, valves, secondary containment, ducts, piping, vessels and storage tanks. Withstands up to 98% sulfuric acid, 100% phosphoric acid, 35% nitric acid, and 100% hydrofluoric acid, MEK, mineral acids, bleach, chlorides, potassium, and sodium.
Eco-Polymer’s specialized novolac coatings are formulated to withstand multiple, rapid temperature variations. Will withstand temperatures in excess of 400°F and provide outstanding protection for pipe wraps, leaks, scrubbers, crackers, stacks, primary and secondary containment, valves, fittings, fans blowers, compressors, ducts, chemical line, brine/slurry tanks and more.
The problems with solvents and VOC’s:
Most States and the EPA have regulations regarding the acceptable levels of there carcinogenic agents allowed in products due to health and environmental concerns. Not only are they a health hazardous substance, they are one of the primary cause of coating failures. As the solvents evaporate in to the air, and water the coating becomes thinner and holes are created in coating’s structure, causing permeability problems. This process continues long after the original curing process. The results are a failing coating system that will allow the penetration of harmful chemicals to undermine the coating and damage the structural base metal or concrete.
